Here is some Information on How to Protect Yourself from Coronavirus through Bodybuilding
I’m not suggesting that the following methods are remedies for Coronavirus. That isn’t the case. However, how to protect yourself from Coronavirus through bodybuilding? Hmm, you have to be muscular and strong like me! (just kidding)
In order to protect your body from the Coronavirus through bodybuilding, here are a few basic safety measures which you must know first:
– Do not touch your face without washing your hands with soap first.
– If you are sick, you must rest properly at home.
– Boost Your Immune System through Bodybuilding.
Boost your Immune System to Defend Your Body against Coronavirus through Bodybuilding
Because Prevention is Better than Cure
Below are the best ways to restore and boost your immune system to protect yourself or your body from Coronavirus.
1. Sleep well
It’s important to have at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day to keep the immune system working normally. Hence, if you are tired especially from physical work, you will probably need more hours of sleep.
2. Eat wisely
Spices have antimicrobial as well as antiviral properties that can help protect our bodies from the Coronavirus. They also strengthen the immune system of our bodies.
For example, there were more than 300 Indians who returned from Wuhan during the Coronavirus Outbreak, but there was only one infected with the virus, and then recovered from the virus. From there we can see that immune system of the Indians is remarkable. First of all, let’s look at the common Indian food and spices that they eat:
- Indian Curries
- Turmeric
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Onions
- Cloves
- Cummin
3. Do not frequently take a shower/bath
According to Harvard Medical School which is the faculty of medicine and graduate medical school of Harvard University, our immune systems need a certain amount of stimulation by normal microorganisms, dirt, and other environmental exposures in order to create protective antibodies and “immune memory.” This is one reason why some pediatricians and dermatologists recommend against daily baths for kids. Frequent baths or showers throughout a lifetime may reduce the ability of the immune system to do its job.

Smell like a Real Man, oh yeah~
Unless your body is exposed to chemicals from a factory that day for example, do not take a shower/bath with soap. If you must take a shower/bath, at least do not use soap, because with soap, it can reduce the ability of the immune system. Like me, you can also spray some organic apple cider vinegar on your armpits, to naturally kill the bacteria to remove the smell, then after waiting for awhile, you can wash your armpits with clear water in the shower without using soap.
Nonetheless I still recommend that you use soap to wash your hands frequently. That is because we use our hands to eat, and viruses may enter your body’s cells through the mouth which can increase the risk of being infected.
4. Get Vaccinated
Just like a condom, it doesn’t provide 100% of protection or prevention, but it is still essential and effective for birth control.
Vaccines like Pfizer and Moderna are also solid choices made by the safest country in the world, Singapore, during this pandemic.
5. Train smart
Always hydrate yourself frequently as usual during training.
For training wise, in the gym or outdoor, allow more rest in between sets, reduce the intensity of the workouts. This is to make sure that you don’t put too much stress to your body until your body is too tired to protect itself from virus. However, it doesn’t mean that you should compromise on training quality and results.
